kathryn josephSTARK, beautiful and magnificent, Kathryn Joseph birthed something absolutely exquisite with Bones You Have Thrown Me And Blood I’ve Spilled.

With an album as cohesive and acclaimed (her debut LP went on the win the top prize at this year’s Scottish Album Of The Year (SAY) Awards) as her first opening gambit, you’d think that every single morsel of music that she’d created in the process of putting it together would’ve made the record; but much to our delight this has proven not to be the case.

Released at the tail end of July alongside ‘The Bird’, Joseph has revealed the stunning video for ‘The Worm.’

A track that’s sure to stop you in your tracks, ‘The Worm’ seizes hold of every single facet of your attention on account of its menacing yet glorious piano and Joseph’s affectingly haunted vocals that almost seem to transcend reality and escort you to another place altogether.

If you think that’s impressive, there’s even more wonder to immerse yourself in with the release of its video. With BAFTA  nominated director Tim Courtney at the helm, the track’s accompanying visuals enlist tools such as drones and gimbals to capture beautiful and vaguely Kubrickian shots of the countryside and beaches that are inhabited by something that seems somewhat more nefarious.

The Bird/The Worm is available now as a double AA side single via Hits The Fan Records.
