band with a charisma that is entirely of their own devising, anticipation remains high for the impending release of The Kills’ first new record since 2011’s Blood Pressures.

Set to be released in little more than a week, the powerful combination of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince continue to impress and innovative with their trademark fusion of blues, electronica and pop.

Premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show, the band have revealed another taste of what to expect from their new LP with ‘Siberian Nights.’

Described by Hince as ‘the odd one out’ on the album due to its lyrical theme of Vladimir Putin’s dismay with the tribulations of life as Russian President and its overly masculine dynamic, ‘Siberian Nights’ is an exhilarating journey which is very much in line with the decadent sound which they’ve made their name from.

Featuring beautiful interplay between the vocals of Mosshart and Hince, its accompanying riffs are among the most captivating that they’ve ever committed to tape and the overtones of tension which are present throughout only add to the mystique which never fails to mask this alluring partnership.

The band’s brand new record Ash & Ice will be released on the 3rd June via Domino.
