IN the midst of what’s unquestionably been the most productive year of their; or any band for that matter, career to date, the Australian psych firebrands known as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are back once again with new single ‘Crumbling Castle.’
Following on from their three albums that have already emerged this year including Murder Of The Universe, Flying Microtonal Banana and their collaborative effort with Mild High Club, their newest offering is 11 minutes of sheer maniacal creativity and brazen experimentation. A sprawling odyssey that refuses to relent and steadily builds to an all-consuming, almost monstrous crescendo, it is a journey into the heavier side of the band’s catalogue that long-time fans will relish.
