AFTER airing a number of tracks ahead of its upcoming release, it’s safe to say that anticipation for Laura Marling’s latest record is at an all time high.

Hell-bent on preventing herself from being typecast or predictable, the one-time folk singer turned fully fledged genre-hopping extraordinaire has unveiled the phenomenal ‘Nothing, Not Nearly.’

Still led by her immensely affecting vocals, the track is a contemplative and indecisive affair which comes complete with hefty doses of distortion and touches of world-weary,  Americana tinged guitar.

Culminating in a beautifully imagined instrumental section, it appears that the singer/songwriter’s latest project is going to be a drastic reinvention and an auditory statement of continual growth.

Marling’s new LP Semper Femina will be released on the 10th March via her very own More Alarming Records.
