Mac DeMarco new photo
cult hero whose infectiously fun personality and tender, fuzz-laden love songs have provided him with one of the biggest followings that the internet age has ever seen.

Possessing a charm that is entirely of his own devising and with a work ethic like few others, the past few year has seen him verge on the prolific with records such as 2, Salad Days and 2015’s mini LP Another One.

Seemingly recorded in his brief downtime after the release of 2,  Mike Sniper; label boss at Captured Tracks to which Demarco is signed, has taken it upon himself to unveil the previously unheard ‘Missing The Old Me’.

As stylish and sleek as you’d expect from one of Demarco’s demure and introspective offerings, ‘Missing The Old Me’ sees Demarco employing his trademark drawl and maintaining the kind of hazy aesthetic that would define Salad Days.

Featuring blissful backing vocals and a hypnotic groove which is both comforting yet tinged with unrefined stabs of guitar, it’s sure to tide over those who’ve found themselves lusting after new material from the heir apparent to the slacker throne.
