FOLLOWING their storming set at Brighton’s Great Escape festival, shimmering indie pop outfit MIAMIGO have launched their atest track ‘Forever’, which delves into an audacious form of old-school 80’s funk.

The new track pokes at previous broken down relationships and the integrity that tainted them into something  that is sourer. The duo said of the song, “we feel it’s a confident declaration to a past relationship, ‘Oh weren’t we wonderful’ and the overuse of the word ‘Forever’ making something that felt special becoming superficial, as it does in this day and age.”

‘Forever’ features speaker-pounding, bass-heavy production that makes full use of the percussion on offer. The duo combine vocal melodies to create a mesmerising echo effect along with galloping synths to construct a huge chorus.

The band are due to play a few festivals in the summer, including a massive appearance at Netherlands’ Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf. The band will warm-up with a headline slot at Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe on 9th June 2016.
