The band: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have released a new video for ‘Do The Damage’, the B Side to ‘In The Heat of The Moment’, the first single to be taken from their forthcoming album.
The sound: The track itself is a more raucous affair than much of Gallagher’s recent work, featuring a punchy riff and a piano driven sound interspersed with horns, it wouldn’t be out of place on a classic Stones record.
The video: The video begins with the man himself settling down on a couch before segueing into a 1984 esque telescreen displaying an all girl roller derby. It was directed by frequent collaborator Mike Bruce, who also oversaw the creation of every video for the High Flying Birds eponymous release.
The lowdown: The track, along with the aforementioned ‘In the Heat of the Moment’ are available now, whilst Gallagher’s second album Chasing Yesterday is available for pre-order ahead of it’s release on 2nd March 2014.
