THE BAND: The corollary of an experimental project, NRVS LVRS (pronounced Nervous Lovers) are a brand new 6 piece from San Francisco who’s soaring compositions and heavyweight lyrical themes have saw them compared with the likes of Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire.
THE SOUND: Frontman Andrew Gomez’s sonorous, baritone vocal glides over a sea of fuzzed-out bass, driving drums and distorted feedback before the track crumples into a blissed out post rock coda. Think somewhere along the lines of the National being distilled by Explosions in the Sky.
THE VIDEO: Shot live at an impromptu gig in the bands living room, the lo-fi footage is wrung through a psychedelic filter and interspersed with some trippy visuals.
THE LOWDOWN: The Golden West is released 16th March 2015 on Hz Castle Records with European tour dates yet to be confirmed.
