PALE HONEY made a significant impact around Europe with the release of their self-titled debut album back in May 2015. The Gothenburg duo are now looking to build on its success with the release of their sophomore record later this year.

Back in October, the band unveiled a fervent new track called ‘Real Thing’ which suggested that fans could expect more of the same; full of angular guitars and clashing drums it encapsulated the edgy sound of their debut. However, this new track ‘Why Do I Always Feel This Way’ introduces us to an entirely new side of the band.

Grungy guitars are nowhere to be heard this time; instead synthesisers accompany singer Tuva Lodmark’s yearning vocals over themes of love, jealousy and denial. With beautifully crafted layers of melody, the track takes the band into melancholic synth-pop territory; an unexpected move but one that pays off all the same.

Demonstrating a marked progression in sound, ‘Why Do I Always Feel This Way’ will feature on the band’s second album, slated for release later this year.
