Pete Doherty-4WHILST his recent musical pursuits may have been dominated by his decision to reform The Libertines alongside Carl Barat, Gary Powell and John Hassel, it is clear that Pete Doherty’s creativity continues to expand beyond their horizons.

Following the release of the contemplative ‘Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven’; a track which eulogised those who were tragically lost in the senseless violence of the Paris attacks in November, Doherty seemingly hasn’t removed himself from his time spent living in the nation with the new video for this as yet untitled track.

Laden with heartwarming strings that remain at the epicenter throughout its nearly four minute duration, it’s a notable shift for Doherty in terms of sonic blueprint as he shifts away from rigid rock ‘n’ roll structures that have defined his career to flirt with the more abstract.

Accompanied by a simple but effective video which follows the singer as he makes his way from a cabin to the intimate Hello Birds Festival in Étretat, Normandy.

Purportedly called ‘I Don’t Love Anyone’, check out the new track below:
