FORMED of a collective creative restlessness that never wilts or falters, every new composition that has emerged from Glasgow’s Harry & The Hendersons during has stopped admirers in their tracks whilst registering as wholly dissimilar to the one that preceded it.

In an era where too many artists are all too happy to retrace paths that have been trampled by those that came before them and thus find themselves bereft of ideas, this multi-talented seven piece continue to flourish and expand their repertoire to unforeseen territory.

The third track to emerge from their forthcoming debut album The Method Of The Matchstick Men, we’re delighted to bring you the first listen of the band’s latest offering ‘Transcendental Meditation’ and can safely say that they remain as gleefully untethered as ever.

Forged in a turbulent, hallucinogenic haze that is punctuated by an air of danger and lingering uncertainty, the band’s newest release is a lavish and deeply ambitious piece of psychedelic folk that recalls the work of 60’s pioneers such as Donovan, Procul Harum and King Crimson whilst rooted in their own unconventional wheelhouse. Setting out with blissful string arrangements and similarly sumptuous melodies, they soon recede into the ether as a jolting salvo lead guitar comes into play and sets the tone for a gripping display of incandescent vocals and uplifting percussion before serenity reigns once again as the track reaches its conclusion

Harry & The Hendersons’ debut album Method Of The Matchstick Men will be release this month via Holy Smokes Records.
