a reach that far extends the thriving Glasgow scene which birthed them, synth-pop outfit PRIDES now find themselves in an incredibly enviable position as they move into the next chapter of their careers.

Having floored their fanbase with the shimmering and exuberant material found on last year’s debut album The Way Back Up, it seems as though the band aren’t fond of basking in the splendour of their success and have already dove straight back into the studio.

The first taste of what could well be their evolution, the band have taken the industry by surprise and released brand new track ‘Rome.’

Packed with propulsive drums and soaring vocal work, there’s an added element of subtle dissonance which lies in some of its instrumentation and points towards the darker spectrum of 80’s electro which had felt untapped in their work until now. However, fans of the band can rest assured that the key elements of their sound remain intact including the kind of anthemic chorus which is sure to be bellowed back at them during gigs in the near future.
