The band: New York trio Public Access TV are back with a new single ‘Rebounder’, which is also the title of their debut EP due out later this year. They are fronted by John Eatherly, who is formerly of punk band Be Your Own Pet, and have made a big impression with critics since their foundation.
The sound: ‘Rebounder’ (listen below) follows on from where their two previous releases left off, perfectly short and edgy pop. Their sound is a more simpler and raw take on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, just without the grandstand chorus’. As with all their tracks it doesn’t stick around long, coming in shy of 3 minutes.
The lowdown: Debut EP Rebounder will be released on the 24th August and will contain 5 tracks. They will also be supporting Weezer on the 9th August in America.
