DEEP basslines and sizzling guitars transport you to the wild wild west in this latest offering from Sankofa.
With the opening gusto of a gun-slinging Spaghetti Western, ‘Into The Wild’ steadily rides over menacing rhythms and a flourish of twanged guitars. Inspired by The Doors and The Creeps in its gothic tendencies, there’s something deeply entrancing about the whole thing as you are lured into the gritty esoteric depths of a subterranean world.
Every bit as tenacious as their reputation suggests, the track gradually gathers intensity as it progresses before culminating in an unyielding crescendo of guitar solos and heavy power chords.
As the follow-up to the equally sublime ‘All The While’, ‘Into The Wild’ is the second single to be taken from the band’s debut album, set for release later this year. Hoping to build on their burgeoning reputation, the Liverpool outfit will release the track on 3rd March via In Black Records.
