st-dukes

KICKING off the year with a slice of irrepressible grungy blues are St. Dukes with their latest single ‘Easy Money’.

The four-piece band from Glasgow have spent time plying their trade on the local circuit in recent years, perfecting their songwriting craft and developing a sound of their own. The result is ‘Easy Money’; a track which bursts with a raw and authentic rock’n’roll energy, grabbing your attention from the very outset thanks to its bold guitar-led introduction.

With incessant rhythms immediately setting the pace, the band tease an explosive climax and they don’t disappoint; an onslaught of guitars and percussion bringing the track to life on an emphatic chorus. Meanwhile, the switching of lead vocals between Sarah Connor and Lewis Allan Douglas lends a unique dynamic; all the more effective when they come together.

A track that gathers in intensity as it progresses, St. Dukes pull no punches with this latest offering. While steeped in their influences, there is an underlying darkness and hard-driven edge to their bluesy sound that makes them one to watch out for.  Check out the track below:
