STATIC UNION have arrived. A regular presence on the local live circuit since their formation in 2014, the Glasgow band are ready to firmly establish their place in the Scottish music scene with the release of their storming debut single and video ‘Turn Out The Lights’.

A driving piece of guitar rock, the track has all the markings of an indie banger; thrilling riffwork, dynamic percussion and a stirring vocal performance all coming together in dark and compelling fashion. With its pacy and menacing opening, the band tease an epic climax from the outset; and they don’t disappoint. Bursting to life with a rush of bold guitar riffs and crashing percussion, a head-banging instrumental section forms the crux of the song; the success of the track lying in the band’s manipulation of rhythm.

Yet another product of Glasgow’s fertile rock scene, Static Union show signs of their huge potential with this debut track as they look to establish themselves among the array of exciting new bands currently emerging from the city.

The accompanying video features professional dancer Joanne Pirrie and follows her as she dances blindfolded around several locations while the band perform; the visuals matching the intense build-up of the song. It will no doubt receive a huge response when it is launched at Audio on Friday 27th January.
