AHEAD of the release of their second eponymous album, Vancouver trio The Courtneys have unveiled a new track by the name of ‘Tour’.

Channelling the sound of the early nineties, the song has a fuzzy warmth that transports you to summer; driving basslines, jangly guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics coming together to create a timeless and uplifting powerpop feel. With influences stemming from Teenage Fanclub, Pavement and The Clean, their ramshackle aesthetic is bolstered by a punky spirit, giving the track a definite sense of urgency; a rush of infectious melodies and upbeat rhythms packed into a quick four minutes.

Validating their recent signing to the legendary Flying Nun label in New Zealand, ‘Tour’ will feature on The Courtneys II when it comes out on 17th February. Check out the track below:
