THE Stateside super-8 shot travelogue has long been a band video staple and now a decade into their tenure The Cribs have decided to turn their hand to it as well.
Edited and given an 80’s kitsch sheen by Julian Casablancas + The Voidz co-conspirator Andy Sonnefeld, the candid clips range from Jarman style karaoke to a cameo from a pretty accurate looking Kiss tribute band.
The song itself is driven by its jagged riff and shout-along chorus, with some nice harmonies thrown in for good measure.
Describing the lyrics behind the track, Ryan Jarman was frank and upfront, saying how, “Lyrically, it seems to be about the first night I spent hanging out with my girlfriend and how we both felt like black sheep, for different reasons.”
