The ParrotsGARAGE surf trio The Parrots are from Madrid and are another band responsible for the epic Spanish takeover of late. Much like neighbourhood buddies Hinds have stormed the globe – most importantly the UK and USA – The Parrots have too and have delighted fans by sharing the video for  ‘To The People Who Showed Me Their Love While I Was Here’.

Their first official recording was a 7″ released in early 2014 via cult indie label from Madrid, Sonido Muchacho. Before the end of 2013 they had recorded two more tracks with legendary Spanish producer Paco Loco (The Posies, Las Kellies, The Sadies, The Jayhawks, Steve Wynn). The band released their second 7″ released in the summer of 2014 via Bachelor Records from Austria where they share the catalogue with such favourites as Black Lips, Dead Ghosts, Hunx and Smith Westerns.

If you are a fan of The Black Lips, Fat White Family and The Growlers then look no further than this surfy, riff-ridden dewy track. It’s guaranteed to make you yearn to hear it live on account of its howled vocals, enrapturing guitar and overall aesthetic which exudes a sense of understated cool.

Released in coincidence with their new video; today marks the emergence of the band’s debut EP, playfully entitled Weed For The Parrots and available via Luv Luv Luv.
