The band: Like Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks, The Twilight Sad have become one of Scotland’s hottest musical exports as they have found fame in America. Signed to FatCat Records they are set to release their fourth studio album Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave in October this year. You can watch the teaser for the album here.
The sound: ‘There’s A Girl In The Corner’ will feature on their up-coming album. Following The Twilight Sad tradition it is dark, gloomy and serious. The lyrics carry some emotional punch as they describe what must be a heart-wrenching break-up.
The lowdown: Their new album is due out on the 27th October. They will be playing the East End Social’s Last Big Weekend in Richmond Park, Glasgow on the 30th August, before hitting the road. They will be playing a small UK tour before heading over to the US where they will join up with We Were Promised Jetpacks for a lot of their North American shows.
