TheVoyeurspic2The band: The Voyeurs (formerly Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs) are a five-piece from London who released their debut album Clarietta in May 2013. They clearly don’t hang around and are now back with a follow-up called Rhubarb Rhubarb, which will be released in November.

The sound: ‘England Sings Rhubarb Rhubarb’ (watch below) is the first single to be taken from that album. Their sound stems from influences such as The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Doors, and they’re not afraid to take that sound to weird places. ‘England Sings Rhubarb Rhubarb’ tones down the usual punk element in favour of a dark psychedelic trip-out vibe, which dishes out mystery, hysteria and craziness.

The lowdown: Rhubarb Rhubarb will be released on the 10th November, and will be preceded by the single ‘Stunner’ on the 3rd November. The band will also be playing a run of dates throughout Europe with Fat White Family, including a show the Glasgow Art School on the 16th September. In November they will head out on their own headline UK tour.
