The band: The Wild Curve are a newly formed duo from Glasgow, who have already drawn the attention of the blogosphere’s spotlight. They have had airplay on the likes of Radio 1, XFM and Amazing Radio, and played their first live show at Glasgow’s Berkeley Lounge to great acclaim.
The sound: ‘Warriors’ is the bands latest single, and it captures the bands big, pop orientated sound. Similar to city-mates Prides they have the slickest of sounds that is so infectious and euphoric that listening to the track will make you believe that summer never ends. The big synth’s that come in during the chorus adds emphasis to the simple line ‘now you know it’s over’, and turns it into an instant sing-a-long tune. The video is shot in Barcelona and the bands reasoning for this is perfect, “We’ve always felt like Warriors had a summery vibe and Barcelona was the warmest place we could get cheap flights to, so off we went.”
The lowdown: The band are drawing a lot of big label interest so expect to see and hear a lot more about The Wild Curve in the near future.
