The band: Glasgow band Twin Atlantic recently announced that they would be releasing their third studio album Great Divide, this coming August, which would be their first since 2011. ‘Heart and Soul’ was the first single to be released from the album, back in March, and was premiered on Zane Lowe’s radio 1 show.

The sound: ‘Brothers and Sisters’ (listen below) is the new single from that up-coming album. It leaves behind the up-beat sound that was delivered on ‘Heart and Soul’, but keeps the poppy chorus and simple indie-rock feel. It’s a slower track that, as traditional with Twin Atlantic, unleashes itself at the impactful chorus. It will be out on the 10th August.

The lowdown: Great Divide will be out the week after on the 18th August. Before that though the four-piece will be playing the John Peel stage on Saturday at Glastonbury, as well as making appearances at T in the Park, and Reading and Leeds this summer.
