Twin Peaks ttv sessionTWIN PEAKS have achieved cult hero status in recent years thanks to their rambunctious brand of garage rock and infectious chaotic energy.

Following two well-received albums, they revealed a more mature and polished sound when they released their third LP Down In Heaven earlier this year. As one of its standout tracks, ‘Holding Roses’ has been revealed as the band’s latest single along with a new accompanying video which features cartoon visuals by Chicago street artist GOONS.

The catchy breakup track is noticeably more laid-back than previous offerings, with a mid-tempo, romantic melody and a swelling chorus about saying goodbye to a lover. As always, there are nods to their heritage rock influences; the repetitive guitar rhythms, muted trumpet and clanging piano riffs recall the Stones and give the track more depth. The band’s scuzzy appeal remains there though with Clay Frankel’s edgy vocals giving it that unique Twin Peaks flavour.
