EXPLODING back onto the scene, ULTRAS have revealed a ferocious new track called ‘Napoleon’.

The Glasgow outfit, led by multi-instrumentalist Gav Prentice, sound fierce, edgy and full of energy on this new single; their first to be released on the Killing Moon label. A song about imperialism and war has never sounded so relevant than in the current political climate as Prentice declares over a foreboding verse that ‘Britons shall never be slaves’, before the angry forewarning ‘watch them digging their own graves’; the words causing that little bit of discomfort given they are so close to home.

From this point, the track builds into a defiant chorus full of head-banging riffs with Prentice’s sinister warning ‘I’ll swing for you next’. With the syncopated hip-hop beat giving it a quirky edge, ULTRAS have the heavy, muscular influence of Royal Blood with throwbacks to the jagged jackhammer riffs of old Biffy Clyro. As a slice of thunderous rock music, it’s a track befitting of its bold name as the band look to start their own uprising.

The single will be launched via Killing Moon at Broadcast in Glasgow on 20th August with support from John Knox Sex Club and Savage Mansion. Tickets are currently available here. Check it out below:
