white band glasgow stereo_tenement tvTHERE’S no doubt in anyone’s mind that WHITE are one of the nation’s most exciting prospects and the proprietors of a sound unlike any other. Melding elements of everything from P funk to the the golden age of post punk into a truly exhilarating marriage of sounds, they’ve blown everyone that has laid eyes on one of their triumphant live sets away with the appearance of ease.

Set to take top billing at this year’s third annual Tenement Trail and fresh off of impressive showings at this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals, they’ve treated their baying crowd of converts to the video for recent single ‘Blush.’

With a gripping bassline akin to that which Bernard Edwards eked out on Chic’s legendary ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘Blush’ is coated in swathes of luxuriant guitar, complex synth lines and an energy that allows it to completely envelope the senses. Overflowing with a sense of gravitas and the air of a band that have validated confidence in their output, the track culminates in a hail of unhinged saxophone and wonderfully deranged vocals that make for an unquestionably all-consuming listen.

It’s accompanying visuals are striking to say the least, with the Something Something directed presentation featuring young Glaswegian model Connor Newall as he makes his way through a particularly intimate and downright bizarre WHITE gig.

Catch them at Tenement Trail on the 3rd October, with tickets available via Ticketweb and various other outlets.
