HOT off the heels of the thrilling ‘Holda You’, blues rock extraordinaires White Denim have continued to outline what we can expect from their forthcoming new album with the funk tinged ‘Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah).
Setting out with a captivating bassline which is equal parts James Brown and The Average White Band, ‘Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah) is another sterling example of White Denim’s power to extract from the past without seeming in any way revisionist and their knack for pursuing classic tropes toward a bold new direction.
Spurred on by an endearingly extroverted and often manic vocal delivery from James Petralli, it’s the kind of outing which will simultaneously thrill existing fans and gain them a whole host of new admirers.
Stiff will be released on the 25th March via Downtown.
