unnamedA band that have long been deemed to be one of the most exciting and dynamic acts in Glasgow, it’d appear that recent times has seen Holy Esque’s status undergo something of a steep upturn.

Following on from a tremendous showing at this year’s SXSW (during which we went behind the scenes prior to and during their performance at Latitude 30- watch below), this recent period of productivity has continued with the recording of an EP that will mark their first ever physical release.

Preparing to unleash their newest sonic wares on audiences next month, the band have unveiled ‘Fade’, the first excerpt to emerge from their most recent spate of recordings in Copenhagen.

Capturing the raw, intangible magic that emanates from their live performances like never before, the track tows the line between sneering post punk indebted aggression and more blissful and poppy aspects. Underscored by surging bursts of dense electro pop that seem fraught with a sense of uplifting optimism, ‘Fade’ most certainly registers as one of their most definitive tracks to date as they continue to evolve and grow exponentially.

Their forthcoming EP Submission will be released on the 17th July via Beyond The Frequency and will be available on limited edition 10″ vinyl. To coincide with its release, the band are set to perform at Glasgow’s Vic Bar on the very same day.
