THERE is just two days until music fans descend on Glasgow’s East End for TENEMENT TRAILScotland’s multi-venue festival of music discovery. Set to take over eight of Glasgow’s most well-loved venues for ten hours from 2pm – 12am, over 40 bands and artists are set to perform next weekend and etch their name in TENEMENT TRAIL history.

This year’s festival marks an iconic ten years of Scotland’s music festival of discovery. And once again, it will take over Scotland’s most iconic venues, The Barrowlands, along with St Luke’s and The Winged Ox, Van Winkle, Barras Art and Design, 226 Gallowgate and McChuills on the High Street.

And to mark the occasion, this year’s lineup promises to be one of the most exciting and eclectic yet. Featuring a mix of established veterans, hotly tipped artists and brand-new local bands, there’s truly something for everyone – with everything from anthemic rock and roll, high-energy punk, innovative dance music, folk, pop, and hip hop all represented on the day.

Ten years after playing the very first TENEMENT TRAIL, Declan Welsh & The Decadent West will headline the Barrowlands on Saturday night. If there’s any artist who showcases TRAIL’s reputation for supporting new local artists, it’s Declan – he’s played the festival numerous times, both as a solo artist and as the frontman of his band, gradually getting bigger and bigger. Since then, he’s released multiple EPs and two critically acclaimed albums, toured all over Europe and even headlined the Barrowlands. Now he’s returning to repeat the same trick – but this time as our TENEMENT TRAIL headliner. It will be a special moment for the festival and the artist alike.

Other highlights will include the return of Neon Waltz from Caithness who will headline St Lukes, while VLURE will bring their club-ready anthems to BAaD with what is sure to be an iconic headline slot. Elsewhere Bottle Rockets will take on the famous midnight slot at McChuills while the inimitable Humour, YESNOMAYBE and SAY-nominated Redolent will appear at Barrowlands 2 as part of our BBC Introducing collaboration.

When it comes to exciting emerging talent, festival-goers will be spoilt for choice. The likes of Scotstown Dance Band, Roller Disco Death Party, Samuel Nicholson, Neverfine, Fourth Daughter, Black Fondu Imogen and the Knife and Fright Years are among the many artists appearing on the day.

The festival have now revealed the all-important set times, so fans can now begin to plan their TRAIL before Saturday 12th October.
