With out summer calendar looking increasingly more cluttered and fraught with tough decisions, we’ve compiled all of the week’s big revelations to ensure that your festival season is as good as it possibly can be.

The Isle Of Wight Festival

A hallowed ground that is steeped in history and paved the way for the modern festival as we know it today, The Isle Of Wight Festival is always sure to bring an astounding mix of artists and sounds to the sleepy island every single year.

With a steady stream of announcements that has already saw them declare the presence of The Prodigy, Faithless, Iggy Pop, Stereophonics and much more, the latest release adds great British guitar acts from throughout the decades such as The Kills, The Cribs, Status Quo, Ocean Colour Scene and Mike & The Mechanics.

Festival No. 6

Held in the idyllic surroundings of Portmeirion in Wales, Festival No. 6 has became renowned for its unique atmosphere, eclectic line-up and its little eccentricities that endear it to the droves of revellers that flock to the village every year.

Unveiling its first wave of acts, they’ve announced performances from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Hot Chip, Roisin Murphy, C Duncan, Django Django, Lucy Rose, Bastille, Blossoms, Echo And The Bunnymen, Roots Manuva and more

Bilbao BBK’s incredible line-up has been bolstered by yet another spate of great artists.

Joining a bill which already features prominent groups such as Arcade Fire, Pixies, Foals, New Order and more, Tame Impala, Grimes, Jagwar Ma, CHVRCHES, Slaves and more are all set to head to the festival and turn in impassioned sets for the thousands in attendance.


Sziget Festival

Commonly referred to as the ‘Island Of Freedom’, Hungary’s Sziget festival attracts throngs of UK residents every year thanks to its serene nature and regularly fantastic line-up.

Disgregarding any notion of catering to only one demographic, Sziget has revealed new acts in the form of David Guetta, Muse, The Last Shadow Puppets, Years & Years, Parkway Drive, The Neighborhood and more.

With Spain and its gaggle of great festival seemingly intent on taking more of the market share than ever, it should come as no surprise that Barcelona’s electronic festival Sonar has revealed a line-up that’s sure to draw dance devotees over to the city in their droves.

Joining previously announced acts such as Jean Michael Jarre, New Order, John Grant, Fatboy Slim, Hudson Mohawke, James Blake and more, they’ve revealed that Richie Hawtin, Santigold, A-Trak, Yung Lean, BadBadNotGood, Ben Klock are among those who’ll be turning in energetic sets at this year’s event.
