INDEPENDENT Venue Week will see shows at over 85 venues across the UK help celebrate the great live music venues in the country. Exercising a similar ethos to Record Store Day for live music venues, acts including The Amazing Snakeheads and Honeyblood are a handful of acts confirmed to play shows in Scotland.

Now in its second year, cities including London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Scottish cities Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen will programme shows that allow fans to get up-close with some of the most thriving bands on the live circuit across the week of 26th January 2015.

Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh will present a week of shows from 28th January to 1st February featuring great Scottish artists including The Amazing Snakeheads and Honeyblood. Whilst Broadcast in Glasgow will see Dundee’s AMWF, T Break and Tenement Trail act Teen Canteen and YAK play the venue.

Sneaky Pete’s booker Nick Stewart says “This is a great chance to celebrate some of the amazing talent in Scotland, up close in an intimate environment. We are overwhelmed and very pleased that these shows have sold so fast. Every artist has been really keen to play, and despite our tiny venue capacity, just 100, no acts we asked to play turned us down.”
