14055095_10155269407953079_7975892279524213597_nSUB CLUB SOUNDSYSTEM is back for the August Bank Holiday weekend, with an action-packed two day event held across the 27th and 28th August at the Barras Art and Design Centre.

With a lineup boasting a number of big names, Saturday will be hosted by Sub Club’s long-standing residency Subculture and will include sets from the distinctive duo Âme and well-respected DJ and producer Steffi. Following his set at Electric Fields, Joy Orbison will bring his trailblazing brand of garage-house to the event back-to-back with one of the biggest names in the German electronic scene, Roman Flugel. Along with the international names, there will be plenty of local talent on show with the likes of Spencer (Numbers), MWX and Harri & Domenic appearing alongside Glasgow’s familiar heroic duo Optimo (Espacio) and weekly Sub Club residents The iAM.

Sunday will be hosted by Sensu and will have Berlin-based Tale of Us on show; the duo have certainly left a lasting impression on Glasgow’s clubbing scene in recent years and will be ones to watch with their unique mixture of new sounds and genres. The lineup will be equally as eclectic and diverse as the previous day with sets from European residents like Mano Le Tough and Dorisburg along with accomplished Sub Club DJs Telford, Hammer and Bigfoot’s Tea Party. The popular Éclair Fifi will be arriving off the back of an appearance on the Sneaky Pete’s stage at Electric Fields while local, globe-trotting hero Jackmaster will return with a crowd-pleasing set that has earned him a huge reputation at clubs around the world.
