B12 ENTERTAINMENT’S “The Gathering” series returns on Friday 31st March at St Luke’s in Glasgow.
The four-band lineup includes performances from Ben Walker, Leaving Bordeaux, Adam & The Regents and Fog Bandits, with live DJ sets in between acts.
Previous episodes include iconic Glaswegian venues in the form of Oran Mor, G2 and Drygate Brewery, with the most recent rendition of The Gathering being held at a packed SWG3 Warehouse in February, a show that promoter and founder Gareth Gonet aims to build upon in Episode 5.
Gareth Gonet comments: “The vision behind The Gathering is to bring together 4 acts who would typically headline smaller venues & allow them to all be the stars of the show at a larger venue such as Saint Luke’s, SWG3.etc. This way the acts get to play in-front of a larger crowd than usual and make lots of new fans. We also aim to create an enhanced an event experience for those who come along to watch the show with live DJ sets to keep the crowd moving in between sets plus lots of other little bits and pieces to keep the night fun without taking away from the music. The Gathering is a great place for music lovers to discover top up and coming talent and at £11 a ticket, we feel it offers tremendous value.”
With a sold out headline show under his belt already, March sees headliner Ben Walker set off on a Scottish tour including venues such as The Bungalow, King Tut’s, and The Victorian Suite, with the run of shows concluding at the St Luke’s mini-festival. A recent support slot for Rianne Downey at a sold out King Tut’s pre-empts a successful year for the young talent who has brand new music on the way.
Glasgow based Leaving Bordeaux provide new-wave, alternative tunes with infectious melodies and hard driven rhythmic style, boasting new music recorded just last month.
Five-piece Adam & The Regents take to the St Luke’s stage with two EP’s forming their discography in ‘Rainy Days’ and ‘All Alone’ released in 2022, experienced with performances at Room 2 and King Tut’s.
Inspired by Royal Blood and IDLES, Fog Bandits bring their unique blend of alternative rock to Glasgow for Episode 5. Known for their riotous shows of moshing and screaming, the three-piece play their biggest show to date on 31stMarch.
