elevator

WHEN depicting life on the road, it can often take more than words to tell the story. Today, TTV’s Discover series is lending an insight into one of the country’s most popular rock bands, Twin Atlantic, as they enjoy one of their biggest years to date.

In a series of photos taken and curated by the band’s drummer Craig Kneale, we are allowed a peek into Twin Atlantic’s world following a busy summer playing shows around Europe and preparing for the release of their massive third album GLA.

isle-of-wight

Hydrating during our set at Isle Of Wight Festival at the start of the summer. This also happened to be my 30th birthday – the boys bought me a watch. The first proper watch I’ve ever owned – I check the time about 300 times a day now.

elevator

In an elevator on our way to a radio session before a show in Nottingham in July. Sam looks happy about it.

long-trip-home
Sam came down with a throat infection when we were in Europe at the end of June and we had to cancel some shows. This was taken on the bus on the journey back home. We travelled to Germany and back without playing any music. If you like being on a bus then it would have been the perfect trip for you.

soundcheck

Working out some of the GLA tracks before a show in Selkirk in July. This was part of the first headline tour we’d done in a while so it was nice to see that people were liking the new tunes.

no-sleep-video

Filming the video for No Sleep in London. Filming music videos is one of our least favourite parts of being in a band… but this one was fun actually. We can also watch it without cringing – a minor success.

airport-delay

Midway through a 10 hour flight delay on our way to Amsterdam. For some reason we’ve decided to sit beside the ladies bathroom. Flight delays from Glasgow to Amsterdam are especially dangerous as it means most people on the flight are at fighting drunk stage by the time you take off.

post-pukkelpop

This was right after our set at Pukkelpop in August. These expressions show that the show went better than expected.

sleepy

Failing to look awake during an early start before a TV performance in August. Sam and Ross got to make a salad live on television – myself and Barry got to eat Deep Fried Pizza. Not sure who was the real winner or loser there
