THE 1975, CHVRCHES and Two Door Cinema Club have been dubbed as potential 2017 festival headliners by Festival Republic boss, following the bands taking to the 2016 Reading & Leeds festival stage at the weekend.
Speaking after the festival, Melvin Benn commented: “I don’t have a qualm about where the next headliners are because they are all there.”
This year’s event saw Foals and Disclosure stepping up to headliner status. He added that new headliners “are knocking on the door all the time,” adding: “There is never a lack of bands wanting to get up there.
“Chvrches are another act that could with just three of them on that stage, they command that stage. Two Door Cinema Club, The 1975.”
