FRANZ FERDINAND’S Alex Kapranos has confirmed that new music from the Glaswegian icons is on the way.

Following a resoundingly successful set at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival last weekend, the band’s frontman took to Twitter in order to clear up speculation about when a fresh batch of material can be expected.

Having last released a full length LP in the form of 2013’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, the band did release a song in response to Donald Trump’s presidental inauguration in the form of ‘Demagogue’ and have been playing a series of new tracks live.

Replying to Twitter user @perkyboymufc’s enquiry about ‘any new Franz material soon’, the frontman was quick to reply with a pragmatic ‘yes.’
