THE line-up for the first edition of the Alternative Peers Ball has been announced.

An innovative new take on the Sir Walter Scott led ‘Peers Ball’ of 1822 which celebrated the first visit of a British monarch to Scotland in two centuries and greatly increased the profile of tartan as we now it today, this newly minted event will take place in the very same venue of Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms and feature live performances from a slew of fantastic homegrown artists.

Headlined by none other than art pop trailblazers Django Django as they prepare to unleash their third album upon the public, the show on the 25th November will also feature performances from an eclectic mix of burgeoning and established Scottish musicians such as Man Of Moon, Siobhan Wilson, Pictish Trail, Meursault, Sjkor, Monoganon and a DJ set from Luckyme Records.

Accompanied by a dresscode of a tartan and tweed, tickets for the inagural edition of this event will be available from this Thursday (5th October) at 10:00am via the Usher Hall website.
