WIDE DAYS have launched their 2022 artist development programme.

The Edinburgh-based music conference – which is set to return in person this year on 19th-21st May – is partnering with PRS Foundation to develop international opportunities for six acts based in Scotland. The programme is open to solo musicians, bands, songwriters and producers/DJs who make original music.

Successful artists will receive two day-long industry workshops with experts, covering topics like collection societies, social media, music law, industry events, health and will also be offered bespoke mentoring from an industry expert.

The six acts will also be given a 20-minute showcase slot on the Friday night of Wide Days to perform in front of an industry and public audience.

The six acts will be selected by a panel of media and music industry professionals, including genre specialists and international bookers. They will benefit from:

  • Showcase slot at Wide Days 2022

  • 2x day-long artist workshops

  • Free Wide Days 2022 & 2023 passes

  • Professional photoshoot

  • Bespoke industry mentoring

  • Post-event advice & development sessions
