ARCADE FIRE’S surprise new single ‘Everything Now’ is slated to arrive online later today.

Announced via their official Facebook account, their first new track since the Mavis Staples-assisted ‘I Give You Power’ will debut on BBC Radio 1 at 7:30pm.

Initially revealed at Primavera Sound as a limited edition vinyl single, the track was briefly available online due to an enterprising fan who filmed it in a Barcelona record store but the video was quickly taken down due to a copyright claim.

In order to stoke the fires of hype, the Canadian alt-rockers have erected a new site known as http://live.everythingnow.com/ and it provides a stream that is purported as being ‘Live From Death Valley.’ From what is known thus far, it is expected that the track and the video will be aired on the new website simultaneously.

In the wake of this revelation, well known fan-site Arcade Fire Tube have been doing their best to decipher when the track will be officially made available to the public and it appears that all signs point to its emergence occurring later today (1st June).

Speculating that things will begin to occur at sunrise in Death Valley (around 1:30pm GMT),their Twitter account has proclaimed that “US radio stations appear to have got the green light to premiere ‘Everything Now’ at 2:30 ET.

In addition to the onset of news regarding their new single, it has also been made known that the band have signed to Columbia Records as part of a new two album deal. Although no official release date has arrived, a new Facebook post (shown below) has led fans to suspect that the record will be entitled Infinite Content.
