FOLLOWING a packed crowd witnessing Bastille’s set at Glastonbury last weekend, frontman Dan Smith has spoken about their follow-up second album.
The band exploded onto the indie circuit and became an instant hit with track Pompeii. The band recorded a widely received Tenement TV session which saw them strip back their set revealing the immense talent from the four-piece.
Speaking to Gigwise, Smith said: “Will (Farquarson, bassist) has just been given a really beautiful guitar by a really nice fan so we feel like we should probably use it.
He added: “We didn’t really have much of that on the first album and it may not end up on it but it would be quite interesting to try it out. We feel quite free. If we want to go quite electronic then we can and if we want to go more rocky and indie then we can.”
The band will play T in the Park festival which takes place between 11th-14th July. For more information and for tickets visit www.tinthepark.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk
