BALTIMORE’S Beach House have taken the unexpected step of streaming their new LP Depression Cherry ahead of its official release.
Signed to Seattle’s legendary Sub Pop, the two-piece dream-pop outfit are known for their tranquil melodies, sumptuous instrumentation and knack for birthing some of the most consistently awe-inspiring albums of the modern era such as Teen Dream and the absolutely bewitching proposition that was 2012’s Bloom.
Comprised of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, the band underwent a considerable lay-off following Bloom and have seldom toured or appeared publicly since.
It’s too early to tell whether Depression Cherry is yet another bonafide success to add to their canon but the initial signs point towards something special.
Depression Cherry will be officially released on the 28th August 2015 via Sub Pop/Bella Union.
