PERPETUATING the current trend of alternative music’s biggest stars being enamoured with the colossally popular pop star, footage has emerged of Beck and St Vincent performing with Taylor Swift at a recent show in Los Angeles.
Part of her extensive ‘1989’ tour that seen guest performances from prominent figures such as Haim and Mary J Blige, this new collaboration saw the three well known artists deliver a version of recent Beck single ‘Dreams’ with St Vincent assuming the role of lead guitarist while the famed singer/songwriter and Swift took turns on lead vocals.
With Ryan Adams’ cover album on the way in the very near future, it’d appear that Swift may be the artist du jour among the inner circle of alt-rock.
