DUNDEE psych-pop duo BETA WAVES have teamed up with Treb / Reality Club for a special remix of last year’s single ‘Ad Lib’.
Now available on Bandcamp, most of the money raised by the track will be donated to NHS Tayside as they battle against the current coronavirus crisis. The band have said in a statement that “All donations, shares and general support is much appreciated.”
Released back in November of 2019, we described ‘Ad Lib’ as “one of the duo’s more introspective offerings, anchored by a steady drumbeat yet drenched in meandering psychedelia, vibrant guitar lines and a warm glow of synths”. However, Treb’s remix transforms the track into a different beast entirely – a slow house burner bursting with an infectious new energy.
