CAPITAL XTRA have launched their highly successful Music Potential initiative in Glasgow.
Having previously taken place London, Cardiff and Manchester, this platform will allow over 120 young music lovers between the ages of 18-25 to receive vital training in what is an ever evolving industry.
Delivered in collaboration with the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) and Glasgow Music Studios, the initiative aims to deliver pivotal training and enhance attendees’ skills in all manner of areas pertaining to the music business.
Among those set to head up special workshops include Sunny Govan’s Steg G, Honeyblood’s Stina Tweeddale, music consultancy expert Tam Coyle, Glasgow DJ Academy’s Dominic Martin and more.
SMIA head Robert Kilpatrick has said of the event:
“Everyone in Scotland should be given access and opportunities to be involved in music and the arts, and thanks to Capital XTRA, this project will provide valuable industry training for over 120 young people at no personal cost. Participants will be equipped with the skills required to meet the gaps and development needs of Scotland’s music industry at present, giving them the best possible chance of future employment.”
Set to get underway with two preview days at the city’s Citizen M on the 21st and 22nd June, registration for this unique program is available now via their official website.
