CONNECT Festival have teamed up with Tiny Changes who will host a pop-up stage at this year’s festival. The Gardener’s Cottage will be open between 1pm and 4pm each day for secret acoustic sessions from a mixture of established names, alongside the best emerging Scottish talent.

What’s more, only half of the line-up has been announced. The remaining secret acts will be teased through a series of clues on the day of their performance. Festival goers will need to download the app and switch on their notifications to know when these exclusive performances will take place.

Those who have been announced to play stripped back sets include rising soul star Joesef, rising singer-songwriter Lizzie Reid, sublime surrealist Terra Kin and Glasgow’s folk collective Admiral Fallow.

The Tiny Changes team are excited to bring this special event to the Royal Highland Centre this August, with CEO Kara Brown saying:

“Tiny Changes is so excited to be this year’s Connect charity partner and add something extra special to the festival together, inspired by Scott and helping young minds feel better. Without the support of the music industry and music fans, we wouldn’t have the national youth work presence we do today, and we’re just getting started.”

Katt Lingard, Connect Project Manager says: “We’ve created a beautiful, intimate, and completely unique setting for festival goers to connect with some of their favourite acts from across our line-up. The Tiny Changes Cottage will feature exclusive acoustic performances from firm favourites, grassroots talent – and some very secret sets to be announced throughout the weekend – this is a corner of the festival like no other and all for a very good cause – We can’t wait for you to experience it with us.”

Tiny Changes is a charity for supporting young people’s mental health, set up in memory of Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison. Scott performed at the original Connect Festival with Frightened Rabbit back in 2007 on a similar stage, so it’s a special full circle moment for all involved. Tiny Changes is Scott’s legacy and Scotland’s very first national children and young people’s mental health charity funding projects and ideas that help young minds feel better.

Taking place 26th – 28th August at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, Connect is a new festival experience that will feature the best in up-and-coming talent and award-winning headliners. Fans can secure their tickets here.
