A session musician known as Andy White who performed on some of The Beatles’ legendary early recordings has sadly passed away at the age of 85.
Collaborating with the band during the formative stages of their career, White took to the drum kit for iconic tracks such as ‘Love Me Do’, ‘PS I Love You’ and is alleged to have also performed on the album version of ‘Please Please Me.’
In addition to his work with The Beatles, White also found himself performing drumming duties on classics such as Lulu’s fantastic cover of The Isley Brothers’ ‘Shout’ and Tom Jones’ ‘It’s Not Unusual.’
Speaking of his work with the seminal band in 2012, White stated that “You could tell it was something different and very special, but I didn’t know just how special it would become.”
