One of the biggest cultural events to occur in Wales over the past few years, Festival No.6 has announced its return along with a multitude of acts including two main stage headliners. Set to take place between the 3rd-6th September, previous years have seen the sleepy village of Portmeirion play host to acts ranging from shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine to global superstars such as Beck and Pet Shop Boys, not to mention a stellar reputation within electronic music circles.
This year’s event will see Glaswegian indie pop royalty Belle And Sebastian top the bill on the main stage as well as the ever evolving Grace Jones, whose live sets have long been renowned as some of the best in the world.
Other acts which have emerged from the first wave of acts include Mercury prize winners Young Fathers, Ghostpoet, Kate Tempest and Stornoway, whilst electronic acts such as The 2 Bears and DJ Harvey are set to headline the dance stage.
Festival Director Luke Huxham has said “We’re tremendously excited about this year’s festival. Our first wave of artists and DJ’s is stronger than ever and there’s a lot more to come including our third main stage headline act, another headline DJ and a big second wave of live acts.”
