foalsFOALS have shared a new short film which details the recording process behind the much anticipated new record What Went Down.

Entitled ‘Crème Anglaise’, its name is in reference to the fact that the band ventured off the south of France in order to record and compose the entirety of their fourth LP.

Directed by fellow Oxford resident Kit Monteith, the video shows Foals looking relaxed, contented and in high spirits as they set about the recording process and frequently shows them taking part in leisure activities and in a state of general merriment.

Regularly documenting frontman Yannis Philippakis as he scribbles down phrases or types out lyrics, the most exciting thing about the film is that it previews two previously unheard tracks that are set for inclusion on the record.

Both in keeping with what we’ve heard thus far from the upcoming record, this video will likely act as a catalyst for even more hype to be generated prior to its release on the 28th August 2015.
