FOALS have found themselves atop this week’s UK Record Store Chart with their latest LP What Went Down.
Despite unfortunately once again being pipped to the post in the official UK album chart (once by the Les Miserables OST and now by Canadian R&B artist The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness), Foals have triumphed in terms of vinyl sales and have beat out a string of highly regarded records and new releases from esteemed artists.
Debuting in pole position ahead of new records from bands such as Sub Pop’s Beach House, hard rock titans Motorhead, alt-rock royalty Yo La Tengo and Heavenly Records exports Hooton Tennis Club, it’s likely that the record will remain in the charts for a substantial period of time given the adoration that it has spawned.
