FOALS’ Yannis Philippakis has confirmed that work on the band’s new album is now underway.

Having released the incredible What Went Down in 2015, the Oxford-based group have depressurised from a slew of festival shows and now appear to be heading into the studio to work on their fifth full length record.

Teased in a not so subtle way by the band’s frontman via his Instagram account, Yannis posted a simple picture of himself with bags of flowers with the caption”Off to write the next record brb 🌺🌸”

Known for expanding their repertoire whilst contorting their sound into brazen and unforeseen new directions, the latest post reaffirms the band’s remarks on Twitter in which they stated that they’d be back ‘when they had new music’ for us.
